We are very happy with our decision to have Tucker Homes build our new home, which we have lived in for about fifteen months. We wanted to build a Passive House, a supremely well insulated, well sealed, high efficiency home that requires very little heating/cooling. To meet the demanding criteria for certification as a Passive House the home must be built well above code, which requires exquisite attention to detail and no shortcuts taken. To achieve this, we were looking for a builder who understood the Passive House concept and was capable of building to this elevated standard. We found this in Tucker Homes. One hundred percent. From the beginning of the project to the end, Tucker Homes did an excellent job. We were impressed with their quality of work, professionalism and communication throughout. The contract/quote at the start of the job was detailed and comprehensive. This contract was then loaded into a portal where we could communicate with Tucker Homes and the sub-trades, who were directly linked to the details in the subsections of the contract. This communication tool was excellent and gave us a real sense of control while dramatically reducing any risk of miscommunication; we always knew what was going on. Any questions or comments we made on the portal were seen by Tucker Homes administration, the sub-trades and our site supervisor. Jonathan and David were both great; they are both on the ball and responded quickly to any emails, calls, or notes in the portal. We always felt we were a part of the process and our concerns and questions were dealt with completely. When problem solving was needed, they invested the time to do research and provide us with several options. Of great significance was the fact that Tucker Homes gave us a fantastic site supervisor who was on site every day from the beginning to the end of the build (with a tiny number of exceptions, for which we had advance notice). His daily presence meant that the trades all had one person, who was always available on site, to ask for clarification. This meant that things did not slip through the cracks, nothing had to be undone and redone. Everyday we would stop at the site at 8am and Steve would be there to answer any questions we had, to give us an update on what happened the day before and what was going to happen that day. Steve was hard working, conscientious, meticulous, skilled and professional. His level of attention and care was as if he was building a house for his own family. Because of the continual stream of communication with Steve and the Tuckers and our trust in their work, we went to bed each night without the stresses usually associated with building a home. Tucker Homes's workmanship was first rate throughout the project and their responsiveness to all of our queries and follow-through post-build has been impressive, but not surprising.……

The Tucker brothers were helpful, professional, knowledgeable, and action-oriented right from our first engagement with them. From the design phase, to mapping out a plan, to construction execution, we always felt like our complete home reno was in good hands. The Tucker crews were also incredibly professional and respectful, making us feel like they truly cared about our home. They cleaned up after themselves and were always communicating with us on where things stood. And of course, the reno turned out beyond expectation and looks stunning! For us, partnering with a local contractor who took the time to understand us as people and apply that understanding to the reno was always the wish - and that wish became a reality when we decided to partner with Tucker! Highly recommended!

Added a sunroom and a small deck to front of house. Brought some rough drawings to Tucker Design to have formal plans drawn up for submission to get building. Engaged Tucker Homes to do the framing. The experience with both Tucker Design and Tucker Homes was top notch. The crew who did the framing was excellent with the general foreman going well above any expectation - he didn’t just do the bare minimum but took the time to figure out what was best way to proceed. In short, I have no problem recommending them.
