Vision
Surrounded by serene countryside, this home was designed with a contemporary sensibility and finished with a strong attention to detail.
Design
We worked in a blend of traditional and rustic features to warm the overall feel of this contemporary bungalow home. Major exterior features include a vaulted pine timber entry and maibec wood siding. Walking inside, the feel is open and airy with 9′ ceilings and plenty of glass. Major interior features include herringbone porcelain tile in the front entry, a natural red pine floor stained in place, a double-sided fireplace, custom shelving and cabinets throughout, and large french doors creating a greater connection between the interior and surrounding environment.
Key Challenges
The homeowners were living in Vancouver throughout the duration of the project, so virtually the entire build was conducted by communicating with them by phone and Internet. They were very pleased with how the project progressed and, in the end, we have very satisfied customers.
